About me

Hannah Wallace

BA (Hons), MSc, MRCSLT, MHCPC, MASLTIP

I qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist from the University of Reading in 2010 and have over 10 years of experience working in the NHS where I supported preschool children with a broad range of speech, language and communication needs, including children with complex needs.

Since leaving the NHS and setting up my independent practice, I have developed a special interest in Speech Sound Disorders and Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders which has enabled me to deepen my research and clinical skills in these areas. I have completed post-graduate training in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy with the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT).

I believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms of a Speech or Myofunctional Disorder. Identifying the underlying causes of these issues is key to a child’s progress and success in therapy.

I value a team approach and look to other professionals that will best support my clients. I have developed links and work alongside a number of airway centric professionals, including Cranial Osteopaths, Dentists, ENTs and Nutritional Therapists.

I am member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP). I am also registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
